A vendor market and keynote luncheon for women in business comes to Great Wolf Lodge in Webster on Thursday, Sept. 10. Registration closes Thursday, Sept. 3.
The Clear Lake Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting the Women's Engagement Luncheon & Market, part of a new series the Chamber launched in 2026. The market runs from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at 1000 Great Wolf Way, followed by the luncheon program from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Dr. Rhonda Parmer, CEO of Leadership Executive Group, will deliver the keynote: "From Overwhelmed to Empowered: Strategies for Women Leaders to Stay Centered During the Holidays." Parmer holds a doctorate in educational leadership from the University of Houston-Clear Lake and is a former assistant superintendent of one of Texas's largest urban school systems. She was named a National Distinguished Principal and founded Leadership Executive Group in 2024.
On her firm's website, Parmer describes her coaching philosophy as helping executives lead with clarity and avoid burnout. Her framework, called the E.A.S.E. Model, focuses on improving team performance while preventing leadership exhaustion.
Seating is limited.
The Chamber said registration closes Thursday, Sept. 3, or when the event sells out, whichever comes first. Both individual tickets and sponsorship packages are available. Ticket pricing was not listed on the Chamber's public event page. Residents can register online through the Chamber's member portal or call (281) 488-7676 for details.
Houston Methodist Hospital is the series supporting sponsor. AMOCO serves as engagement sponsor, with contributing sponsors Barrios, Stellar, Loper and Duckworth Insurance.
The Chamber promoted the event on its X account on Wednesday, July 29, encouraging local women to "connect, shop, and celebrate women in business across our community."
