Clear Creek ISD's roughly 40,000 students are back in classrooms, and the district promoted its 2026-27 Back-to-School Guide on Wednesday, Aug. 12, pointing families to bus routes, meal program details and instructions for signing up for real-time school alerts.

The guide itself was published Aug. 6 on the district's website. The City of Friendswood shared it on Facebook the same day classes began, wishing CCISD families a great first day back.

Finding your child's bus

Families can look up bus routes at ccisd.net/transportation, a page the district updated Monday, Aug. 10, the day before school started. Route information is also accessible through Skyward Family Access, the district's parent portal.

Pre-K, kindergarten, sixth-grade and ninth-grade students started Tuesday, Aug. 11 (a half day for Pre-K and kindergarten). All other grades followed Wednesday, Aug. 12.

Meal benefits: who qualifies

As we reported Aug. 5, families of four earning up to $42,900 annually qualify for free meals under the district's 2026-27 guidelines. That threshold rose 2.6% from last year.

Students in Pre-K through eighth grade and high school who qualify for reduced-price meals receive both breakfast and lunch at no cost. Applications are accepted year-round through SchoolCafé at schoolcafe.com/clearcreekisd.

Families without a SNAP, Medicaid, TANF or FDPIR case number must list household members, income and the last four digits of the primary wage earner's Social Security number. Rebecca Coronado, CCISD's free and reduced meal benefits specialist, reviews applications. Questions go to 281-284-0712.

connectCCISD app for alerts

The guide directs parents to download the connectCCISD app, which the district says delivers real-time district-level and school-specific alerts to phones.
