The Peach Cobbler Factory opened its doors at 20911 Gulf Freeway, Suite B, in Webster on Saturday, Oct. 3.

The dessert chain's new location sits inside Webster Town Center near the Baybrook Mall area, first reported by What Now Houston in April. The 1,513-square-foot shop cost $225,000 to build out and offers dine-in, takeout, delivery and catering, franchisee Douglas Colton told What Now Houston at the time.

Colton and his wife, Elizabeth, are originally from the Pearland area. He had initially projected a late-May or early-June opening for the Webster store.

"We discovered The Peach Cobbler Factory and fell in love with the concept," Colton said in the April interview. He described the menu as "warm, Southern-style desserts that feel like homemade comfort food but with consistent quality and a fun variety."

The menu centers on cobblers in flavors including peach, blackberry peach, strawberry peach, caramel apple and sweet potato pecan, each served warm with vanilla ice cream. Individual cobblers and cobbler shakes start at $11.40, according to the chain's national online menu.

The shop also offers a dozen banana pudding varieties, from the Classic to Oreo, Nutella, Red Velvet and Peanut Butter & Jelly. Cinnamon rolls, churro sticks, brownies, cookies and cheesecake in a cup round out the options. A dessert flight with four cobblers or puddings in 4-ounce servings runs $28.80.

Juan and Tamira Edgerton founded the Peach Cobbler Factory in Nashville, Tennessee, in 2013. As of February, the chain operated more than 120 locations in 24 states, with more than 150 additional units in development, according to a company press release.

The Webster store is Colton's first franchise. He told What Now Houston in April that he was already planning a second location in the League City area.

The shop is open Sunday through Thursday from noon to 10 p.m. and Friday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Online ordering closes 30 minutes before the store does. The phone number is 713-575-7198.
