Webster residents have a new option for primary care after HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake opened a family medicine clinic at 251 W. Medical Center Blvd., Suite 300, on Aug. 5.

The clinic will offer preventive care, routine health screenings, chronic condition management and treatment of common illnesses, according to an Aug. 17 news release reported by Community Impact. HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake Medical Group physicians and medical residents will staff the location.

Erika Hayes, director of community engagement for HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake, confirmed the opening in the release.

The suite sits just down the road from HCA Clear Lake's main 532-bed hospital campus at 500 W. Medical Center Blvd. The hospital operates a Level II Trauma Center, a Level III neonatal intensive care unit and a dedicated pediatric emergency center. It is the only exclusive heart hospital south of the Texas Medical Center.

The address is the same one where Clear Lake Medical Group, an HCA-affiliated primary care practice, relocated on Jan. 23. That practice already offers family medicine, internal medicine, sports medicine and sleep medicine services at the Webster location, with hours Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. HCA's announcement describes the Aug. 5 opening as a "new family medicine clinic," though the hospital has not clarified whether it operates separately from the existing Clear Lake Medical Group practice or represents an expansion of that office.

Medical residents in HCA Clear Lake's Internal Medicine Residency Program train at the Medical Group's Webster site, providing continuity clinic care for complex adult patients. The new clinic's staffing model, which pairs attending physicians with residents, follows that same training structure.

The clinic opening comes as HCA Clear Lake undergoes a broader expansion. The hospital is adding 132,000 square feet to its main campus, including a 30-bed neuroscience floor, a 30-bed intermediate care unit, additional medical-surgical and cancer program beds, and doubled capacity for women's services. That project is expected to be completed by late 2026 or early 2027.
