Rise Cupcakes in Friendswood is selling a fall lineup of pumpkin spice latte, caramel apple and German chocolate cupcakes through the end of September.

The seasonal specials join a broader fall menu that includes pumpkin cookies with cookie butter cream cheese icing, apple fritters and apple cider donut cupcakes, owner Haley Barnett told reporter Catherine White in a profile published by Community Impact.

"Fall is always my favorite baking season … We love everything pumpkin," Barnett told Community Impact.

The bakery sits at 907 S. Friendswood Drive, Suite 113. It is open Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The shop is closed Sunday and Monday.

Barnett took over Rise Cupcakes in 2023. She started at the bakery in a front-of-house role, moved into the kitchen and worked her way up to manager before becoming owner. The bakery was founded in 2011.

As a kid, Barnett watched the TV baking competition "Cupcake Wars," printed recipes from each episode and recreated them at home. When she interviewed at Rise, the previous owner told her the bakery was preparing to compete on the same show.

Beyond the seasonal specials, Rise Cupcakes carries cupcakes, cookies, cakes, brownies, blondies and bars year-round. Barnett said she draws flavor ideas from baking trends, holidays, movies and pop culture. Her personal favorite is the classic chocolate chip cookie, which she described as made with chocolate chunks and topped with flaky sea salt. The cookies are baked fresh daily and sell out every day, she said.

The fall flavors are available through the end of September at the South Friendswood Drive location.
