Woody's Hideaway, a bar built around pool, golf simulators and darts, opened Monday, Oct. 5, at 20801 Gulf Freeway in Webster.

The venue is the latest location for the Hideaway concept, owned by Houston-based Woody's Brands. Community Impact Newspaper first reported the opening.

The Webster spot features 21 Diamond pool tables, two golf simulator bays with more than 20 games, three dart boards and private karaoke rooms, according to the business's website. All activities are first-come, first-served.

The venue is 21-and-older at all times.

The simulator bays also offer a shooting range, baseball, soccer and zombie dodgeball in addition to virtual golf courses, according to the website.

The food menu includes spicy Philly spring rolls, Wagyu crunch wraps, chicken quesadillas and wings. Cocktails include a watermelon fresca, iced mangonada, bourbon bliss double and ranch water.

Woody's Brands CEO Bob Wilson signaled the company's interest in Webster in a March 17 press release reported by Community Impact. "We've loved being part of the Webster community through our Little Woodrow's location, and it is the perfect place for us to continue growing with Woody's Hideaway," Wilson said at the time.

The parent company, founded in 1995, operates 44 locations across Texas and Louisiana under brands including Little Woodrow's, Eddie's Tavern and Woody's Bar, according to the company's LinkedIn page. The Hideaway concept has been running since 2018, according to the company's website.

That March preview article had projected a December opening for the Webster location. The bar beat that timeline by about two months.

Webster's Gulf Freeway corridor sees about 250,000 vehicles daily, according to city documents cited in a Community Impact development report. The opening comes as the city's entertainment scene shifts: The Hop, a decades-old nightclub, closed in August, while Lucky Strike Webster, a bowling-and-billiards venue, opened at 318 W. Bay Area Blvd. on March 31.

Woody's Hideaway Webster is open seven days a week, 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. The phone number is (346) 827-8400. Upcoming events include a UFC 333 Watch Party on Oct. 24 and a Halloween Bash on Oct. 31.
