The online content creator known as Captain Crunch Boats has been released from the hospital after being stabbed Sunday, Aug. 16, at the Clear Lake Park public boat ramps along NASA Parkway, according to Harris County Sheriff's Office investigators cited by regional news outlets.

Captain Crunch sustained only minor injuries in the attack, which unfolded during a 75-minute livestream that captured the entire incident. Investigators say the suspect approached from behind and stabbed him while he was in an argument with a group of boaters. The suspect was not part of that argument.

The boaters Captain Crunch had been arguing with came to his aid. Voices on the livestream can be heard yelling at the alleged attacker to "get off" the victim.

The suspect is also accused of slashing the tires of a black truck belonging to another fisherman at the scene. That fisherman told ABC13 his truck looks exactly like the one driven by Captain Crunch and believes the suspect targeted the wrong vehicle.

No arrest has been made.

Surveillance video under review

HCSO investigators have obtained surveillance video that may show the suspect but have not found a clear shot of the person's face, ABC13 reported. Investigators are working to obtain additional footage, and the 75-minute livestream video itself is now part of the investigation.

Fishing guide Harrison Woods, who said he visits the Clear Lake Park boat ramp about seven days a week, described Captain Crunch as a familiar presence at the dock.

"It seems like the stabbing was personal because if you watch the video, the guy comes from behind him," Woods told ABC13.

Captain Crunch has posted on social media since the attack, promising a complete update for his followers.
