Friendswood scored 80 points and allowed none in a rout of Fort Bend Dulles on Friday, Sept. 18, at Henry Winston Stadium.

The 80-0 victory pushed the Mustangs to 4-0 overall and 2-0 in District 11-5A-I. It was the latest in a season of lopsided wins for head coach Jordan Johnson's squad, which has outscored opponents 242-24 through four games.

Friendswood opened the year with a 31-6 win over Texas City, beat Clear Brook 71-11 in Week 2 and routed Victoria East 60-7 in its district opener. The Mustangs have won every game by at least 25 points.

Dulles entered the game 0-3 and had been shut out 80-0 by Angleton the previous week, according to MaxPreps. Individual stats from Friday's game were not available as of Sept. 19.

Senior quarterback Josh Brister has led the Friendswood offense all season. In the Week 1 win over Texas City, Brister threw three touchdown passes, connecting with three different receivers: Jackson Owens, Nate Roher and Peyton Lowe, according to KGTX7.

Clear Lake shut out in district opener

Across town, Clear Lake absorbed a 72-0 loss to Dickinson in the District 18-6A opener for both teams at Veterans Memorial Stadium in League City.

The Falcons dropped to 2-2 overall and 0-1 in district play.

Clear Lake had entered the game on a two-game winning streak, having beaten Kingwood Park 42-35 and New Caney West Fork 31-21 in Weeks 2 and 3, according to a Galveston County Daily News preview. The Falcons lost their opener 44-31 to Pasadena Memorial on Aug. 27.

Dickinson improved to 1-3 overall and 1-0 in district. The Gators had opened the season 0-3 against three 2025 playoff teams: Fort Bend Ridge Point (29-26 loss), Katy (42-24) and Atascocita (21-7). Dickinson went 13-1 last season and reached the Class 6A state quarterfinals.

Head coach John Snelson told Texas Football on Sept. 9 that the schedule was by design: "We could've very easily scheduled a not-as-tough non-district and been 3-0, and everybody's patting us on the back, but we wouldn't know who we are."

The Gators return just three starters on offense and four on defense from last year's roster, according to Texas Football. Third-year starting quarterback Lorenzo Aguirre threw 43 touchdowns as a junior in 2025.

CW39 Houston confirmed both final scores.

Friendswood and Clear Lake both return to action in Week 5. Friendswood plays at South Houston and Clear Lake plays at Deer Park, both Friday, Sept. 25, at 7 p.m., according to MaxPreps.
