Kirby Ice House will open a 700-seat indoor-outdoor bar at 530 Bay Area Blvd. on Thursday, Sept. 10, the company told the Houston Business Journal.
The opening falls one day after the NFL season begins, giving the Bay Area Boulevard corridor a new destination for football watch parties and weekend gatherings. The Clear Lake spot is the fifth Kirby Ice House, joining existing locations in Upper Kirby, Memorial, The Woodlands and the Heights.
The newly constructed building spans 8,900 square feet. Outside, a 3,500-square-foot covered awning area and 9,000 square feet of uncovered space give the venue a total outdoor footprint of more than 12,000 square feet, KHOU reported.
Sports fans will find 38 TVs throughout the property, including two 225-inch screens. The venue will offer yard games and arcade games.
The bar is pet-friendly.
That detail comes from an August news release cited by KHOU, which described the chain's approach at all its locations.
Doors open at 2 p.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m. on weekends. The bar closes at 2 a.m. daily.
Community Impact reported in July that the Clear Lake spot would include all the features of the chain's other locations plus expanded amenities. Staff said at the time that the location was hiring.
The Heights location, Kirby Ice House's fourth, opened Aug. 29, 2025, at 1421 North Loop West in Houston. The chain now stretches from The Woodlands to Clear Lake, and the Houston Business Journal reported that Kirby Ice House plans to double its number of locations within three years across Texas.
Doors open Thursday, Sept. 10, at 2 p.m.
